In 2008, the South Atlantic Conference extended a call for Pastor Carter and family to become part of the dynamic, charismatic, enthusiastic, and loving congregation of the West End SDA Church!

In 2 years, the number of businesses increased from 20 in the first year, to nearly 50 in the second year. Pastor Carter’s motto is found in the Pathfinder pledge: By the grace of God, I will be pure, and kind, and true. I will keep the Pathfinder Law. I will be a servant of God and a friend to man. • Chad Dickens

Pastor Chad Dickens is a native of the South Atlantic Conference. He was raised in South Carolina and was baptized in the Summerville Seventh-day Adventist Church. It was there where he realized his call to the ministry.

Pastor Chad is a licensed minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was educated at Oakwood University where he earned two degrees. One being a Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Theology, and the other is a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies with the emphasis on church development.

While at Oakwood, Pastor Chad interned under the leadership of Dr. Carlton P Byrd who was at that time the senior pastor of the Oakwood University Church and the Speaker Director of the “The Breath of Life.” Pastor Chad also traveled the country with Dr. Byrd as a bible worker. As a result of this, God used him to bring many souls to Christ for baptism. In the summer of 2017 “The Breath of Life” did a city-wide crusade in Las Vegas Nevada. This crusade resulted in over 94 people being baptized and pastor Chad was one of the key bible workers that worked that campaign. As a result of this effort, the Nevada-Utah Conference decided to hire Pastor Chad and keep him ministering in the Vegas valley area.

While in Las Vegas, Pastor Chad served as the associate pastor at the Abundant Life Seventh-day Adventist Church. After serving for 3 years at the Abundant Life Church, he was called to serve the Salt Lake Central Seventh-day Adventist as senior pastor. In addition to pastoring the Central Church, Pastor Chad also pastored the TKM Seventh-day Adventist Church in West Valley City Utah for 2 years. He now pastors the Ridgeland Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ridgeland South Carolina, The Garden City Seventh-day Adventist Church in Garden City Georgia.
